Please complete the How to Hire a Costume section when you wish to hire an outfit as this will give us all the details needed for us to see if we can assist you, and will enable us to answer you promptly. We get lots of emails without this completed and it is impossible for us to know if we can assist without all these details.

Hire fees are from £32.50 per week
A refundable deposit will also apply. Please read our Terms and Conditions.
Delivery to you and return to us is via DHL and is £17.50 per costume to UK addresses.
If you are hiring more than one outfit we will be pleased to quote a bulk delivery price.

Above are samples of the types of coats we can supply. These would be everyday wear for the victorian gentleman going about his business.


THE WORKING MAN

This is a working man's outfit comprising trousers, waistcoat, collarless shirt, neck tie and hat. There is also a jacket that goes with this which is unlined so that it hangs slightly baggy rather than looking tailored.
The trousers are designed to be worn with braces so that they hang loosely at the rear rather than being very fited. The suit is made of a black wool mix material and is quite thick.

A Town Crier or Highwayman

Comprising of a long coat with cape, Tri-peak hat,trousers,cuffs,jabot and a belt.

The coat measures approximately, up to 54” collar nearly 17” (is not meant to close at front), sleeve under arm seam is 19” shoulder seam to bottom of jacket 44" The Tri-Peak hat is black with a white fur type and gold trim.The hat measures inside circumference 23”.

The white shirt has a jabot attached to it. It measures approx chest 50” neck 17”.

The trousers are black and fasten with hook and eye and a zip centre front, and are elasticated around the backWaist measures approx 28” unstretched and stretch to an approx 36” Inside leg seam approx 30.5”


Uniform

This navy serge three peice suit was made for a volunteer on a preserved railway working as a guard. It is a 40 chest, 32 waist, 30 inside leg.
It has gold buttons on the jacket and the hat has FR for Furness Railway on it.

Chest 44 Waist 36 I Leg 33


This is a Confederate Officer Uniform, complete with trousers, sash and hat.
The jacket measures approximately, chest 44” under arm seam 20” neck 17.5” length of coat from shoulder seam to hem 42” cuffs 12”.The jacket is fully lined throughout. The trousers are a lighter blue, with a red stripe down the outside seam. They measure approx 34” waist and inside leg 31” Inside hat circumference is approx 23.5” The rim of the hat is about 3.5 from bottom of hat band to rim.
